Hui San (Suzanne) Tan

As a laboratory technician, my duties are to assist the laboratory manager to ensure the laboratory is functioning efficiently and effectively, and also to provide technical support to other team members and their research projects.

Before joining the Bomblies' lab in Jan 2020, I worked at several international research institutes e.g. Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research and Genome Institute of Singapore. I completed my bachelor's honour degrees at University of St. Andrews, UK.

I am passionate about research and always enthusiastic to extend my knowledge and skills in different areas. My previous projects were focused on the role of epigenetic modification in cardiovascular disorders. Plant biology is a new, but fascinating area to me. I am interested in learning more about plant work and understand more about the meiotic adaption of polyploid Arabidopsis arenosa.
